Payments on or after Termination
Upon termination of employment, an employer shall make termination payments to the terminated employee; these usually include outstanding wages, payments in lieu of notice (if applicable), annual leave pay, end of year payments, long service payments or severance payments (if applicable), and other payments under the employment contract. Except for severance payments, all termination payments shall be made within 7 days of the date of termination. For severance payments, an employer shall make payment within 2 months of the receipt of a notice from the employee claiming a severance payment.
